Westside Express Trip

How to get there: Carpool to the TriMet WES shops in Wilsonville arriving at 2:00pm.

What is the tour:
You will be given a 1 hour guided tour of the Westside Express Commuter Rail shops where they maintain a fleet of unique rail equipment including some Budd RDCs.
At the conclusion of the tour you will board the WES for a ride to Beaverton where you are free to explore the area or choose to immediately return back to Wilsonville arriving at 4:47PM. Your tickets will be good for all TriMet services for the rest of the day with the WES train departing approximately every 40min to return to Wilsonville. Last train leaving for Beaverton at 7:20PM.


Requirements: Closed toed shoes required, participants must be able to navigate uneven surfaces and be fully ambulatory without assistance (i.e. no walkers, canes, wheelchairs etc.) PPE will be provided.

The Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation (ORHF), home to SP 4449, SP&S 700, UP 3203, Diesels and many cars,
will offer free admission to convention attendees who are wearing their badges.

In addition, the ORHF will offer a 25% discount on any train rides to attendees wearing their badges
